The program combines the resources and business knowledge of Bond University (Australia’s
world-champion business planning and entrepreneurship university) with Business
Breakthrough (BBT - a pioneer in building multimedia executive training programs).
As a student, you attend classes by viewing lectures through BBT's SkyPerfecTV!

a central program website. You will also attend two intensive learning sessions
at Bond University, on Australia's Gold Coast. There are a number of features that

classroom instruction It allows you to complete a fully-accredited MBA degree in

3. Is this just another distance education program?
No, definitely not! Most distance education programs involve students simply reading
texts and submitting assignments via post or the Internet. Students rarely even
see professors, let alone meet them. Students are usually required to work alone
and are given very little support for either their study performance or language
needs. Teachers rarely monitor whether students are progressing. As a result, students
find it hard to motivate themselves and generally learn very little.
The MyBondMBA.com Program is designed to overcome these weaknesses. For a start, professors come into
your house or work place twice a week to present lectures via broadcast. Students
avoid the inconvenience of travelling to campus and the distractions of noisy lecture
theatres. We recommend that students record the lectures so they can refer back
to them if they need to. By watching the lectures and attempting the online interactive
activities, students become familiar with the professors and hopefully share some
of the passion that they have for their field of expertise. Lectures are structured
and prepared to promote a logical, easy-to-follow presentation geared towards students
who speak English as a second language. Your attendance is checked using BBT’s Dista-learning
software (see Monitoring Technology) to ensure your motivation is not lagging (you
can expect professors to contact you and offer help if your attendance begins to
drop off suddenly!)
The iLearn website allows you to communicate directly with
professors and teaching assistants via a live Virtual Classroom (including a shared
whiteboard that everyone in the virtual classroom can see) and e-mail. Only students
registered in the MyBondMBA.com Program have access to this site. You may also telephone
or fax questions to your professor if you like. You have direct interaction with
your classmates through a Virtual Classroom, discussion boards and group areas (where
groups can share files and other study documents). In addition, you are required
to attend at least two intensive Study Tours at Bond University on the Gold Coast,
Australia (see Study Tours). During these sessions you will take classes with other
students, participate in workshops and group activities (including excursions) and
complete assessment. Of course, you will meet the professors and teaching assistants
in person and experience some of the Bond University spirit.

6. How much study will I need to do?
This depends on your workload, your home life and your ability to perform. However,
for each subject you enrol in you should be able to commit at least 8 hours per week
to study during your MBA. This time is in addition to the time you spend viewing
lectures. If your English skills are weaker or the subject is particularly difficult
for you, you may need to dedicate more time than this. Doing the MBA and working
full-time is very intensive and you must have the full support of your employer,
family and friends.

skills and knowledge of the most recent managerial developments. This is important
