2. What do ‘0.5 credit points’ and ‘1.0 credit points’ mean?

At Bond University, each subject is graded as either a full unit (1.0 credit point) or a half unit (0.5 credit points). This is based on the number of lecture hours and the amount of work required to complete the subject. Obviously, full units require considerably more effort and take longer than half units.

3. How long are the subject?

Full-unit subjects generally have a total of 30 lecture hours and take from 10-12 weeks (depending on the broadcast schedule). They normally require two major assignments to be completed, as well as an examination. Most half-unit subjects vary between 15 and 20 hours of lecture time, and normally run for approximately 5-7 weeks. They usually require at least one major assignment to be completed.
